Product Description
Ultramarine blue is found in Paints, lacquers, and decorative materials. It is extremely lightfast and has a particularly dazzling blue color, but it should not be used outside because it will weather to a bland blue powder. In order to eliminate the inclusion of contaminants typically found in naturally occurring iron oxides, such as ferrous or ferric oxides, arsenic, lead, and other toxic compounds, ultramarines are manufactured synthetically and are rated safe for cosmetic use. Due to its non-shrinking and non-warping characteristics, ultramarine blue pigment is utilized in the rubber, tire, toy, shoe, and wire industries.
