Blue Neel

Fabrics have been coloured blue for ages using blue neel. The shrub known as the indigo plant, which is indigenous to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia, Africa, and the Americas, is used to extract it from its leaves.Fabric is dipped into the indigo solution after the indigo leaves have been fermented in water to make the dye, which is used to colour fabrics. Each time the fabric is dipped into the solution, the colour of the fabric deepens. It is known asvat dyeing to do this.Due to its longevity and resistance to fading, blue neel has been used for ages.
